  • Family News and Concerns

    Nina Wester has been dealing with severe upper arm pain and other discomfort.  She was admitted to the Abilene Regional Medical Center, Room 5007, on Aug. 29.  Many tests have been done including a bone scan.  Her arm is weakened and fractured from cancer.  They have drained a lot of fluid from her chest.  She will have surgery on her arm Sept. 2, and wait for a pathology report to develop a treatment plan.

    Kelly Goff had a heart cath and 2 stents put in Aug. 24.  He was dismissed from Hendrick on Aug. 28.  In a month, they will replace his pacemaker.

    Hazel Hale, mother of Tammy Money, is having some health issues and will have tests this week.

    Beau McDowell, the grandson-in-law of Dorothy Hartsfield, is recovering from surgery of Aug. 24, to remove a portion of his skull to relieve the swelling.  He has been accepted at the Craig Hospital and Rehab Center in Denver and will be transported by jet on Sept. 1.  Beau will be there 4 to 8 weeks.

    Gina Calk Crocker is recovering from colon surgery of Aug. 30.  She is at the MD Anderson Medical Center in Houston.

    Jane Poston, special friend of Steve & Tammy Money, is in the hospital in Ft. Worth, but she received great news that she has been approved for the heart transplant list and is on the critical needs list.

    Joel Bevel has small cell carcinoma and is taking radiation treatments for several weeks.  He will start chemo after that.
